San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is a touchdown machine.
On the 49ers' first drive against the Cleveland Browns, the 27-year-old caught a shovel pass from quarterback Brock Purdy, slid past multiple defenders and scored a 13-yard TD, giving San Francisco a 7-0 lead.

It was his 15th consecutive game (including playoffs) with a TD, tying for the second-best mark in NFL history, per Josh Dubow of the Associated Press.
While McCaffrey has always been an excellent player, he's reached another level this season. He leads the NFL in yards (678) through five games and is tied for the most TDs (eight). Also, he's the best playmaker on an undefeated team that looks like a Super Bowl contender.
An RB hasn't won league MVP since 2012 (Adrian Peterson); however, if he keeps dominating, he will undoubtedly strengthen his case. OddsChecker gives him the fifth-best odds (+1400) to win the award.
