Spring Fever!!
What's up yardbarker? I know it's been a minute but yes I'm back. I hope everybody's spring is going good. Mine is great.....just soaking up as much sun and clear skies as I can in the south. If you've never been, I tell u, you don't know what you're missing!! Other than this past weekend the weather couldn't be better. It was really good relaxing in the winter months but now since the sun's back out it's time to get back to work. That's usually what my days consist of now with still a little time time have fun. But like my mom says, NEVER TOO MUCH. So ya'll might have to forgive me cause I'm gonna have to live vicariously a bit through some of you guys this summer. We all need to catch up. So tell me what's on your mind.......until then.......peace!!
-
Hi, Glad to hear you're enjoying your time off - I live in the northeast and winter is too long, got a hint of spring yesterday sunny & 67 - can't wait for the 80's. I wanted to express my sympathy for the loss of Marquis Cooper, (and his friends) that is such a sad situation. My prayers go out to his family, teammates and friends. Sorry if I brought you down, didn't mean to. Enjoy the warmer weather and listen to your mother, too much negative news in sports (and in the world in general). Keep smiling!!!
-
Yessir....thanks for the love.
-
How are you feeling about the changes so far? Rob is no longer there, so I am guessing some changes on the defensive scheme.
-
Hmmm.....something tells me the scheme won't change that much. LOL
-
Aaah...a fresh, new post. Let me roll around in it a bit. LOL But really, how you gonna come on here braggin about the sunny, warm weather when some of us are feelin all yellow and jaundiced from the lack of sun? :( Texas should put you on the tourism council cause you got me wanting to book a trip just to get some color back!
-
Yeah, what Shanelle said.... I've got like five bikinis that have been sitting in the drawer all winter. Tell us where the pool party's at!!!
-
Yeah girl! Pack up the bikinis and hawaiian tropic were headed to Houston! Umm...hey Stanford...its cool if we crash at your place, right? All I need is a couch and a clean towel...;)
-
What makes ya'll think I live in houston??
-
I thought you had told Jeanette that you were from Austin but lived in Houston. Either way, its sunny wherever ur at and Alana and I need tans. So its cool if we come couch surfin, right? ;)
-
Man you pay a little too close attention to what I say in interviews...LOL
-
My steel trap memory is what got me through 20 years of schooling (counting kindergarten)!
-
South TX!! :)
-
Is that an invite??? :D
-
Could be....;)
-
Gotta love the south ma....its the best part of the country.....believe that!!
-
Well you know Im partial to my hood but the south does have some nice selling points: the weather, the quaint charm, the accents, the polite people, and of course, the food!
-
Yes maam!!!
-
Stanford, how was the team minicamp?
-
Mini camps aren't until may and june homie.....right now all they have is workouts (running and lifting).
-
Welcome back stan!! Just remember you can never have to much fun in da sun!!
-
Oh yea....couldn't have said it better myself
-
I spent a full month in Corpus Christi and LOVED it. :p
-
I told you so
-
i hear u stan but ive never been down south, so all i gotta say iz i LOVE the bay weather lol
-
To each his own...
-
You are the man Stanford
Keep up the great work
Enjoy the off-season
Be wel my man
all the best
-Steiny -
Much love homie...
-
Glad to have you back, your probly the only Pro football player on here that responds back, its good that you take time off to respond back, hope you have a great season.
so who do you think the Raiders will get in the Draft?
What do you think about Tom Cable so far?
GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I haven't been in the bay since the end of the season, so honestly, you're guess is as good as mine....
-
Stanford only uses the Bay during the season. Like she's some two-bit trick or West Coast jump-off :(
-
Stop it...LOL
-
Hit a little close to home?...;)
-
Cant wait 2 see you start at corner or maybe move to free safety this season. Corners make the best safties caus you already know how 2 cover a reciever & wont bite on anything. Il be in the stands in my routt jersey & cant wait 2 see u crack Brandon Marshall this season, its gona be great =p
-
I like the way you think homie...much love!!
-
Im confused, do you like the prospect of starting outside, playing safety, or laying out Brandon Marshall? Or maybe its of jrusselfan2 representing #26 in the stands. Which reminds me, Im still waiting for those #26 jerseys to be made available in womens (or at least kids) sizes. You wanna get on that? ;)
-
I LOVE playing outside but inside on downs with multiple receivers.....
-
I love playing outside too! Or inside if it's raining. Wait, are we talking about the same thing? ;)
-
(Sigh) Try to keep up...LOL
-
=( You corners think you're soooo smart! LMAO
-
We ARE!!! :)
-
So have you ever thought about the possibility of moving to free safety? Because ive heard Tyvon Branch is penciled in at strong safety for the moment, and he can really succeed there. And i know you can hit, so that would work for you. Would they even let you move positions, even if you wanted to?
-
Naw never thought about it nor would I ever want to.....unless I'm in my twilight years about to retire LOL
-
Haha thats cool. Reason i asked is caus u and michael huff have similar body types and he played strong safety & free safety lol. And i know you are stronger/faster than he is. hmm..i think rod woodson also did that when he came to the raiders in his later years..lol.
-
Yeah, we ain't ready to put Stanford out to pasture yet...;)
-
LOL
-
Speaking of your twilight years, have you given any thought to what your 2nd career will be? It's not like you'll be anywhere near social security eligible when your playing days are over. So besides promoting Texas, what will you do? If you need ideas, might I suggest working for the Travel channel as a correspondent on their motels segment? LOL
-
Well one thing I've always wanted to do besides/after football was become a lawyer. As fas back as I can remember, I've always had a knack for persuading people to see things my way.......and of course a passion for arguing.....LOL.....so we'll see.
-
Bet ya'll didnt see that one coming....wham!! LOL
-
Wow. I never would've guessed. I too like to argue and can appreciate a formidable opponent. Hmm...now I regret calling that truce. LOL
-
Just read on the website that the season opener is a MNF home game against the Chargers. Might have to drag myself off the couch for that one. ;) In other exciting news, if you can get your family to bring a turkey to Dallas you might be able to spend Thanksgiving with them. Raiders are playing on Thanksgiving for the first time since 1970. Remember 1970? Yeah, me neither. lol
